Responsibilities:
- Identifies defect-damages of products and source of defects in manufacturing processes
o Resolves them by working with factories in China, Brazil – remotely from Chennai
o Travels occasionally to the factories as needed – to fix these defects
- Identifies defect-damages of products in warehousing processes
o Resolves them by working with warehouses in USA – remotely from Chennai
- Innovates on manufacturing process testing and inspection processes that are statistically valid
o Includes monitoring factories and products before launch, during every production batch and post-production testing at warehouses (as required)
o Reduces defects-damages by iterating/innovating on these processes to bring them down in significant methods
- Collaborates with other teams to identify new causes that can be fixed
o Customer service that interacts with customers
o Analytics for finding data patterns
- Collaborates with factories and installations to innovate on assembly guides, assembly manuals
o Collaborates with marketing and customer service team to aid customers to help customers install our products properly
- Collaborates with customer service to find post installation issues and solve them in new ways.
Qualifications:
- Performance process capabilities, Inspection and work audit capabilities in prior work experience.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
- CAD data analysis, Interpreting assembly and component drawings, engineering specifications.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, warehousing processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
