This position is to manage the Production Planning of a product line with a strong presence in Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Home Depot, and eBay with more partner relationships in the works.  The line of business is growing fast (CAGR ~70%) and is targeted to hit $50M in 2021. All products are sold direct to consumers in the United States via online channels.


         Responsibilities:


  • Translate sales forecasts to production plans and release production orders to factories across the globe
       
  • Continuously monitor sales, production progress, ocean shipments to maximize sales and inventory turn

        
  • Coordinate with factories, ocean carriers and warehouses on a daily basis to optimize availability and inventory

        
  •  Monitor  warehouse operations to ensure on-time shipment of customer orders

        
  • Capability to work collaboratively with peers, vendors, and supply chain partners and influence their key stakeholders.

        
  •  Responsible to coordinate and work with internal cross-functional teams     

 

          Skills


  • Proven experience in planning production and logistics

  • Algorithmic thinking and excellent quantitative skills are essential to perform the role

  • A high level of proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

  • Strong Scheduling and optimization skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication abilities



           Reporting relationships


  • The incumbent will report to the Business Head located in Chennai and a dotted-line reporting to the Founder President located in the Head Office in Florida.    
       
  • This is primarily an Individual Contributor Role.
