Given the fast-paced, dynamic nature of the eco-system, the complex systems and high transaction volumes, the role will focus on these key areas:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive financial strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, ensuring profitability and long-term value creations.
  • Guide strategic initiatives: Provide financial expertise and leadership for mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion efforts.
  • Partner with leadership: Collaborate cross-functionally with executives and other departments to ensure financial objectives are seamlessly integrated with overall business goals.
Financial Analysis and Performance Management:

  • Drive performance improvement: Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Track and report performance: Develop and deliver insightful financial reports and dashboards to executive management, the board of directors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage financial risks: Proactively identify and manage financial risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies. 
 
Financial Operations:

  • Oversee financial activities: Lead a high-performing finance team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, and transaction processing.
  • Optimize systems and processes: Implement efficient and scalable financial systems and processes to ensure accurate, timely, and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance: Establish and enforce robust internal controls and compliance frameworks to mitigate financial risks and meet regulatory requirements. US GAAP knowledge and experience are mandatory for this role.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior financial leadership role, ideally as VP of Finance or CFO, leading and motivating high-performing teams.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably with experience in ecommerce or retail industry
  • Strong foundation in financial planning and analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate and insightful financial projections.
  • Adept in utilizing financial management systems and business intelligence tools to extract actionable insights and drive data-driven decision making.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, translating financial data into actionable insights that contribute to long-term organizational goals.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and drive innovation in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, effectively influencing and collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to transparent and open communication, fostering a culture of accountability and trust.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications highly desirable.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity, committed to upholding the highest standards of financial reporting and ethical conduct.
