Global Vendor Management Specialist

  • Global Vendor Management Specialist, you will own the business relationships with key vendors across multiple categories and be responsible for driving top and bottom-line results
  • You will need to grow vendor relationships, negotiate annual terms, accurately measure, and track vendor performance to drive cost saving while providing value back to the company
  • You will also be a key member to monitors and report on key performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Responsible to design and implement a strategic plan to consistently deliver company vision, mission, goals to grow quality relationship with vendors for benefits such as financial support, priority in manufacturing schedules, and overall commitment to build the best products
  • Participate in the design and implement a strategic management process that focuses on insuring continuity of supply, identifying and minimizing business interruption to mitigate the supply chain risks
  • Track and monitor supply chain/ suppliers’ financials/world events/ contract position/raw material price trends/exchange rate/political landscaping and maintain vigilance in planning the best times to renew and maintain continuity of supply
  • Work with Demand Planning, Sales, Product Quality, Product Development, Procurement, Sourcing departments to plan procurement purchase based on vendors performance, capacity, and market situation
  • Ensures vendors deliver on key metrics such as on time delivery, quality, product development, vendor compliance, etc
  • Develop and maintain regular vendors governance process to get more values from vendors to allow OJC to plan proactively, and identify new opportunities for business expansion
  • Maintains proactive, strategic and long-term relationships with vendors through continuous and comprehensive analysis of vendor performance
  • Manage a comprehensive partner business review with vendors for strategic planning and improvement
  • Be the lead and maintain contact between vendors and OJC inter-departments relating to on time delivery, product quality, negotiation, and execution of purchasing contracts/agreements/policies
  • Participate in design and develop negotiation strategy to significantly improve our procurement cost and financial support with a comprehensive understanding of oversea supply chain, taxation system, and Oversea Export & Credit Insurance (i.e ECIC, SINOSURE)
  • Participate in supply chain contracts review and negotiation
  • Facilitate escalation process for a solution/plan of action in coordination with OJC inter-departments and vendors
  • Responsible for creating and conducting trainings for vendors on new or updated SCM platforms, processes, and company requirements
  • Develop plans to improve the delivery of quality service (on time delivery, product quality, product development) through effective process improvement strategies to vendors; partnering with OJC inter-departments to resolve vendor performance issues
  • Leads initiatives to monitor vendor health and contributes ideas to improve it
  • Ensure vendors contact information and securely validates any requested changes
  • Ensure that item price, and payment terms are continually reviewed, evaluated, maintained, and negotiated
  • Seek and implement continuous process improvement

  • Experience in working for large ecommerce sellers preferred
  • Experience with supplying to Amazon for 2+ years would be preferred
